Bordes Wines is a family owned and operated business located in Sonoma, California

Our grapes are grown on a lush, 24-acre ranch situated on Champlin Creek Ln

As a family-owned and operated boutique vineyard, we specialize in a limited selection of superior vines to produce wine for your family’s table. Using grapes harvested and pressed by our family and friends, we limit our production to less than 500 cases to ensure the highest quality of taste and flavor.

The climate, soil and everything that goes into growing our precious fruit is known as “terroir” or “sense of place.” Within our hillside, Champlin Creek vineyard our terroir is ideal for growing pinot noir and chardonnay grapes, with long, dry, sunny, warm-but-rarely-hot summer days buttressed by cool nights, substantial afternoon breezes and cool, morning fog.  Because of these changing conditions our fruit can be somewhat more difficult to grow, but the end result is nothing short of amazing.  Similar to European burgundies, our fruit tends to produce a bit of an “earthier” characteristic in our wines with notes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, as well as herbaceous tones with rustic qualities like the soil in which it is grown.
